Setting up your branding
What branding affects
Your firm's name and brand color appear in:
- The client portal header
- Automated reminder emails
- Document request notification emails
- E-signature document headers
- Signed PDF certificates
When a client visits their portal, they see your firm name and color — not idutax.
Updating your firm name and color
Go to Settings → Firm → Save changes.
Firm name: Appears in all client-facing communications. Use the name your clients know you by.
Brand color: A hex color code (e.g., #0F6E56). This is the accent color in your client portal and emails. The default is idutax's teal. Most firms use their primary logo color.
Choosing a brand color
Your brand color should have enough contrast for readable text on white backgrounds. WCAG AA requires a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1.
Dark colors that typically work well:
- Dark navy: #1E3A5F
- Forest green: #1A5C38
- Deep burgundy: #5C1A1A
- Charcoal: #2D2D2D
Avoid very light colors — they won't be legible as text.
Logo (coming soon)
Logo upload is on the roadmap. Currently, the firm name appears as text in the portal header.
